I'm part of a wonderful group of talented photographers. We met through instagram, and although we are spread right across the globe, we bond through our love of photography, particularly emotive imagery. Through those connections, a wonderful concept was formed: Project Something Beautiful. The idea is to take one word each month, and explore the meaning behind that word through photography.
This month, our word is REFLECT. Around this time of year, I like to look back on the year that was. Celebrate successes, move on from negativity, and see how much I've grown; both personally and professionally.
2017 was a big year for me and my photography. It was the first time I put myself out there and photographed strangers (scary!). If you're reading this and I've photographed you, thank you for being a part of my journey so far - because without you I wouldn't have grown.
I can see a huge improvement in my photography work over the last 12 months. I still feel as though I have a ways to go, but that excites me, knowing new opportunities for growth and development are always around the corner.
Just for fun, I thought it would be interesting to share a few shots of my boys from this time last year, as well as some recents. I'd love to hear your feedback! Click through the slideshow below and let me know which images are your faves!
Today I'm participating in a blog loop with some of my dear friends. To see how we all interpreted the word REFLECT, head over to Chanelle's blog and follow the loop until you end up back here. Happy reading!
